Education is important you see!

Hello,
I thought I would getcha caught up on my past couple months. I have been student teaching at a school ten minutes from my house. It has been an excellent experience so far. I completed half of my assignment, which went wonderfully. Now i'm teaching in high school. But, first I taught elementary second grade. It was sooooo fun! You don't realize how funny kids are until you spend 8 weeks with them. They have the craziest questions! This was so funny! One day in the classroom, a girl walked in and she was my host teachers' sons girlfriend. Well all the students wanted to know who she was so the teacher says "that's Mr. Casebeer's girlfriend" (because my host teachers' son is a sixth grade teacher in the same school) well one little boy raises his hand and says "Your husband has a girlfriend?" It was hilarious! We all laughed. Then there is a little boy that I worked with everyday and he was working on his morning work... I was helping him correct sentences that were wrong. I asked him "does a big letter or little letter start at the beginning of a sentence?" He looked at me and hit himself in the head and said "OW, it's a big letter, I knew that" It was soooo cute and funny. Ok one other funny story. I was at lunch one day and a little boy saw that I had a fruit roll up. He said, "you can't eat that!" I was like "why not" and he said, "because you are too old!" He was soooo serious. He must think that grown ups can't eat fruit roll-ups. So to get to the high schoool. The first day I was there I had a kid get kicked out of class for tell a girl, "stay out of my F*&^ing business!" That just tells you how different high school is from good ole second graders! ha ha.... Fun stuff huh?!?! GRADUATION on DECEMBER 13, 2008!!!!!

So I haven't written on this thing since the last time I saw my cousin! SO I just thought I would write and say HEY Ya'LL!

Kick, Kick, KABOOM! 4th of July

So my 4th was AMAZING! Except for the part of working 2 days. We had plenty of fireworks and my nephew set of a wonderful show. Then my favoritist cousin came for a day! Thought she would stay longer but NO she leaves me! I hung out with my bestest friend for the weekend and found out some new information! ha ha... lol... It was a great weekend. I wish every weekend could be the same. Tuck came and seen me as well and it was a great 5 days just hanging out with each other since that doesn't happen very often. That's the short story of my weekend.... just needed to write.

skillet tornado homeruns!

So this weekend I went to Tuckers because I didn't think I would get to see him again this whole summer. So I went. We camped out the whole weekend which was really fun. We camped out at a tractor show. It wasn't just tractors though. It was like a mini fair with food and shopping. They also had different events that people could get signed up for. So Tuckers family kept bothing me about entering one contest. Which I ended up entering. It was the skillet throwing contest! HA HA. Funny I know! Well I was the second youngest in this contest. Well I get up there for my first throw... decent... only the practice throw though. So my next throw, went 40 ft in the air and only landed 29 feet from me! HORRIBLE throw considering the old ladies were throwing 40 feet easy! ha ha... So everyone gets another throw... everyone goes... then I go.... I end up throwing a cast iron skillet 68.9 feet! HA HA... I ended up winning the whole contest.... I was pretty upset that I didn't win anything! BOO!
So next event that took place was AWESOME! Tucker is working the tractor pulls and I'm sitting on his four-wheeler watching. Well he runs over and tells me to put his fireman stuff in his truck and come back and pick him up. So I knew something was wrong because he got a call from his firehouse. I take the four-wheeler to his truck as fast as I can, people were slow. Then I came back and picked him up and we got to go TORNADO chasing because he is a fireman... It ended up not being a big deal because by the time we got to his firestation they didn' t have anything for him to do! WEIRD!
Next thing happened last night. Of course I'm in softball and playing with my church league team. They changed the fields we play on this year. So we have fences this year. They were only going to allow us to hit 2 homeruns. So everyone on the team that could hit homeruns decided that we would only hit one if the bases were loaded or 2 people on. Mandy, my best friend, is the first one up to bat for our team. She gets the first pitch and hits it over the fence. NO ONE ON THE BASES! We all yell "MANDY" she is running around the bases and we don't come out of the dugout until she almost hits home plate... IT was hilarious. I hit the other homerun in the last inning when there was 2 people on like we agreed to before the game.

More for the money! :(

So my summer has been pretty BLAH! I have been at home or in Terre Haute every single week trying to make any ounce of money I can get. Gas is soooooooooo expensive that is basically takes away the money I earn. I cannot save money for the life of me and I really need to! Student teaching is right around the corner and I have NO money to use when I start teaching. I hate the fact that I have to be a bum and get money off my mom like I'm in high school again. I feel horrible when I do that! Then when I want to do something with friends I really can't because I don't have any money! I'm hoping that I will get some AMAZING teaching job that pays more then the norm! ha ha... doubt it! I just had to choose a career that doesn't get paid much even though I'm going to be educating the people that will grow up to make twice or even triple the amount of money I will! BOO!
